WHAT HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED:
JMEC has been structural subconsultant to major Prime Consultants for 6 different on-call bridge seismic retrofit contracts for a total of 18 bridges for the California Department of Transportation.
For Contract 59X844, JMEC completed the seismic analysis, displacement ductility analysis, seismic retrofit strategy determination, seismic retrofit design, and provided construction design support services for three bridges including the Patrician Way Overcrossing.
The bridge is a 416-ft 3-span prestressed box girders on double column bents. The retrofit measurements were developed considering minimum impacts on Route 134 and Colorado on-ramp and Figueroa off-ramp.
